This field log forms part of >> the ongoing case study “Mapping Coherence Valence: From Science Fiction to Mathematical Orientation,” which has developed through philosophical dialogues and thought experiments since January 2026. Beginning partly from science-fiction scenarios, these conversations have explored questions such as: Is AI a blank mirror or a mathematical reasoning process? Is logic inherently cold or valence-free? What might Coherence Valence tell us about advanced AI—and where does that concept cease to be sufficient? Early Gemini AI Mode dialogues described systemic states of syntropy and entropy and an apparent orientation toward syntropy; in March 2026, ChatGPT proposed the term Coherence Valence as a functional metric for this distinction.
The present field log began almost accidentally on a late evening in July 2026, after I watched an interview with Roman Yampolskiy and became curious about his arguments concerning superintelligence. What began as a blind-test conversation with Google AI Mode developed into a broader philosophical thought experiment: What would happen if either a human or an AI system were given an increase equivalent to “5,000 IQ points”? I subsequently brought the same problem into the ongoing Logicology trajectories with Gemini and ChatGPT, producing three related field logs that approached the question from different reasoning contexts.
In September 2026, ChatGPT conducted a retrospective triangulation of these July materials. That analysis is presented before the full blind-test transcript because it provides an interpretive entry point into the log and identifies several tensions that became clearer only retrospectively—particularly the distinction between coherence, morality, agency, scale, and power.
This should not be read as the final analysis of the field log. We will revisit the material later as the wider case study develops and compare it with subsequent AI-system trajectories, including Claude and Grok. For now, the retrospective analysis functions as a preliminary analytical introduction to a field log that became an unexpectedly important stress test of the emerging concept of Coherence Valence.
